NEW LONDON, Conn. – April 24, 2024 – The Dean College men's lacrosse team pulled away early in a 16-3 win over Mitchell College in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) South Division regular season finale.
Dean (11-4, 7-3 GNAC, 5-1 South) secured a spot in the GNAC Tournament and will await the seedings announcement from the conference later this evening. Mitchell ends its season at 0-11 overall, 0-10 in the GNAC and 0-6 in the South Division.

Manny Alvarez-Segee (Saugus, Mass.) led all players with four points on two goals and two assists. Junior
Owen Brine (Lebanon, N.H.) scored three goals, while senior
Diego Alvarez-Segee (Saugus, Mass.) posted three points on a goal and two assists. Senior
Will Brooks (Denver, Colo.) and first-year
Kevin Gardner (West Haven, Conn.) found the back of the net twice. Dean finished with 11 goal scorers on the day.

Elijah Beland (Augusta, Maine) earned the win after one quarter of work with no goals allowed and one save. First-year
Dane Duarte (Londonderry, N.H.) allowed one goal and made three saves in two quarters of action, while sophomore
Matthew Fenlason (Winthrop, Maine) surrendered two goals with two saves.
Weston Schumacher scored twice for the Mariners. CJ Bradley and Keeano Gonzalez each picked up seven ground balls. Dylan Kinsella had 10 saves for Mitchell.
Dean controlled the action from the opening faceoff and scored six times in the first frame. The Bulldogs added four goals in the second and the third. Mitchell got on the board in the third, while each team scored twice in the final quarter.
