FRANKLIN, Mass. – March 13, 2024 – The Dean College men's lacrosse team began Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action with a 20-5 victory over Albertus Magnus on Wednesday afternoon at Grant Field.
Dean (4-1, 1-0 GNAC South) wraps up a 4-game homestand on Saturday with a 12 p.m. start against Emmanuel. This game will be a rematch of last year's GNAC semifinal contest that went into overtime. Albertus Magnus (2-3, 0-1 GNAC South) returns home on Saturday to host Rivier at 1 p.m.

Elijah Beland (Augusta, Maine) earned his fourth win of the season with two goals allowed and two saves in two quarters of work. First-year
Dane Duarte (Londonderry, N.H.) allowed three goals and stopped six shots in 23 minutes, while sophomore
Matthew Fenlason (Winthrop, Maine) had three saves in seven minutes.
The Falcons received three goals and an assist from freshman Jeremy Tremblay (Orford, Quebec). Senior Kader Price (Walden, N.Y.) contributed two goals and an assist.
Dane Walsh (Bethany, Conn.) took the loss with 13 goals allowed and eight saves in 30 minutes. Freshman Nick Duryea (East Haven, Conn.) allowed seven goals and stopped 14 shots in 30 minutes.
The Bulldogs scored three times in the opening 4:25 before Albertus got on the board with a goal from Tremblay. Dean then took control of the game by scoring six more times for a 9-1 lead after 15 minutes. Alvarez-Segee scored four times, while first-year
Kevin Gardner (West Haven, Conn.) added a pair.
The lead for Dean increased to 13-1 before the Falcons scored with less than a minute to play in the half for a 13-2 margin at the break.
The Bulldogs outscored the visitors 4-2 in the third and 3-1 in the fourth to come away with their fourth consecutive victory.
