FRANKLIN, Mass. – February 6, 2024 – Dean College Football Assistant Head Coach and Offensive Coordinator
Tom Keane has been selected as one of 25 NCAA coaches who will participate in the 2024 NCAA and NFL Football Coaches Academy held February 20-22 in Charlotte, N.C.
The Academy is an impactful educational opportunity to build connections and develop leadership acumen to pursue career aspirations within football coaching.
"I am deeply honored to be chosen as one of 25 coaches nationwide for this prestigious program," said Keane. "I eagerly anticipate the invaluable insights and knowledge-sharing from representatives of both the NFL and NCAA."
The program is delivered in collaboration with the NFL, who will bring in 25 additional attendees, all of whom will be former NFL players coaching at various levels in the collegiate, high school, or professional ranks.
Keane, who has been with the Bulldogs for two seasons, has directed an offensive unit that came away with numerous weekly and end of year awards. In 2023, the Bulldogs had one All-Eastern Collegiate Football Conference (ECFC) First Team Offense honoree, three All-ECFC Second Team Offense selections and one named All-ECFC Honorable Mention. In addition, during the season a pair of offensive players were named ECFC Rookie of the Week. In Keane's first season, Dean had two All-ECFC First Team Offense selections, one player land on the All-ECFC Second Team Offense and one nod as Honorable Mention. Furthermore, the offense picked up two Player of the Week and two Rookie of the Week awards. Additionally, an offensive player earned the prestigious New England Football Writers Association Gold Helmet Award and another was named to the NEWFA All-New England Team.
