8-0: Bulldogs Continue to Roll, Defeat Framingham State 79-73

FRANKLIN, Mass.- The Dean College Bulldogs used a 48-Point second half to propel past Framingham State University in non-conference play on Monday night. The victory wrapped up Dean's eight game home stand to open the regular season, in which they finished unbeaten at Pieri Gymnasium.

The Bulldogs and Rams went back and forth throughout the entire game, with six different lead changes between the two teams. Framingham State led by as many as six throughout the first half, but Dean remained within striking distance due to sophomore Frankie Idlett's (Miami, Fla.) 3 first-half three-pointers. Idlett finished with 27 points and four three-pointers, both season-highs.

Framingham State was only able to hold on to their single-point lead out of the half for the first 30 seconds, as junior Billy Ray Barnes III (Inglewood, Calif.) recorded a steal-and-score to lift Dean back into the lead. After trading the lead for the next few minutes, junior Christian Yeates (Atlanta, Ga.) added on 6 points of his own to create separation on the scoreboard. Barnes finished with 19 points and Yeates finished with 11.

Senior Greg Farrow (Milwaukee, Wis.) finished as the team's leader in rebounds grabbing 11 in 39 minutes played. Senior Jaisan Parker (Durham, N.C.) was Dean's leading scorer off of the bench, recording five points in 13 minutes. The Bulldogs shot 46.7% from the field, going 28-60. The team's eight three-pointers were the most threes made since the opening game vs. Maine-Augusta on November 9th, when the Bulldogs drilled 11. Framingham State finished with 15 free-throws on 27 total attempts from the line, at 55.6%.

The Bulldogs won't play on home court again until January 7th, 2025, when they will host Albertus Magnus College in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) home opener.

Dean has a quick turnaround, with their first road game, and first GNAC contest of the regular season on Wednesday, in Providence, Rhode Island, against Johnson & Wales University. Tip-off is scheduled for 7pm in the Wildcat Center on JWU's campus.
