NEW LONDON, N.H.- The Dean College Bulldogs fell to the Colby-Sawyer Chargers, 5-1 in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) women's soccer regular season finale on Tuesday. Colby-Sawyer (9-4-6 overall, 7-2-5 GNAC) awaits their fate in the conference playoffs, while Dean's (2-12-3 overall, 1-11-3 GNAC) season concludes.

Bridget O'Connell scored two goals in the game's opening ten minutes, the first assisted by
Kate Vasconcelos, and the second off a penalty kick, to give the hosts an early 2-0 lead. Five minutes before the halftime break, O'Connell added a third, unassisted, to put the Bulldogs in a three goal hole at the half.
Halle Pletzer found her own scoring streak for the hosts, scoring back-to-back goals over the span of five minutes to give Colby-Sawyer a 5-0 lead. Haley Gaunt (Johnston, R.I.) made 22 saves in the game, improving her GNAC-leading tally to 183 on the year. Medeiros' goal was her second of the season and seventh of her career. Bettencourt's assist was her first point of the season.
