FRANKLIN, Mass.- The Dean College Bulldogs dropped a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) contest to Lasell University, 4-0, on Saturday in front of a great Homecoming Weekend crowd on Grant Field.
After a scoreless first quarter, Lasell broke through in the second with a goal from
Alessia Callahan, unassisted. The Lasers added two more in the third quarter, one from
Brooklyn Northcutt, and one from
Halleen Seguin, both assisted by
Amelia McAfee. In the final minutes,
Jacquelyn Scopa added a fourth goal, assisted by Arianna Morse, to cap off the scoring.
Lasell outshot Dean 15-5 and held a 6-2 lead in penalty corners. First-year
Emma Gragen (Brattleboro, Vt.) and junior
Sydnee Ramos (New Bedford, Mass.) led the Bulldogs with two shots a piece. First-year goalkeeper
Sara Gardner (Hampstead, Md.) made seven saves in 60 mintues of action.
Dean (7-11 overall, 4-7 GNAC) is back in action on Wednesday against Albertus Magnus for the regular season finale at 3:30 on Grant Field.Â
