KILLINGWORTH, Conn. – January 25, 2024 – The Dean College football team had 32 student-athletes recognized by the Eastern Collegiate Football Conference (ECFC) for academic excellence.
The conference bestows two academic honors annually: the ECFC All-Academic Team and the ECFC Academic Honor Roll.
To be eligible for the ECFC All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must have earned a cumulative GPA of 3.3 or higher following the 2023 fall semester. Additionally, all honorees must be at least a sophomore in standing with a minimum of two years of participation on the football team.
All five ECFC institutions had honorees named to the All-Academic Team, with 94 student-athletes in total recognized.
The Bulldogs had 14 student-athletes appear on the All-Academic Team.

Owen Jalbert (Oakville, Conn. – Sport Management) was selected for the third year in a row.

The ECFC Academic Honor Roll recognizes student-athletes that achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher following the 2023 fall semester. Further, freshmen and first-year transfer student-athletes are eligible for this recognition.
In total, 131 student-athletes from all five member institutions earned Academic Honor Roll recognition.
