Men's Volleyball Drops Saturday Tri-Match

CHICOPEE, Mass. – April 1, 2023 – The Dean College men's volleyball team dropped both matches of Saturday's Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) tri-match hosted by Elms.

The Bulldogs fell to the host Blazers 3-0 (25-14, 25-21, 25-16) and 12th-ranked Wentworth 3-0 (25-10, 25-15, 25-10).

Dean will play Wentworth again on Tuesday in Boston.

ELMS 3, DEAN 0 – 25-14, 25-21, 25-16

Junior Aaron Fonseca (Cranston, R.I.) had five kills to lead the Dean attack. Sophomore Nunu Jackson (Fresno, Calif.) and first-year Arthur Felicio (Brazil) added four kills apiece. Seniors Tyler Martins (East Providence, R.I.) and Nick Carlson (Warwick, R.I.) each picked up nine digs.

Cecil Villa led the Blazers with nine kills on .500 hitting. Collin Liedke added eight kills and a match best 16 digs.

#12 WENTWORTH 3, DEAN 0 – 25-10, 25-15, 25-10

Tyler Martins accounted for six of the Bulldogs' 11 kills in the match. Arthur Felicio had two kills on five attempts and added a couple of blocks.

Wentworth's Brayden Green hit .833 to finish with 11 kills to go with 16 assists.
