NEWTON, Mass. – February 22, 2023 – The Dean College men's volleyball team was defeated by Lasell, 3-0, in the team's first Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) match of the season. The Lasers won by scores of 25-12, 25-3 and 25-12.

Dean (1-5, 0-1 GNAC) returns home on Saturday to host a GNAC tri-match against Emerson and Elms with first serve set for 11 a.m. Lasell (7-5, 3-1 GNAC), who was nationally ranked earlier this season, will host SUNY Poly on Saturday at noon.

Senior Tyler Martins (East Providence, R.I.) led the way with a couple of kills and two assists. Junior Aaron Fonseca (Cranston, R.I.) had a team best five digs.

David Massa hit .556 to finish with 11 kills and a couple of blocks for the Lasers. Dexter Thomas added eight kills on .500 hitting.
