FRANKLIN, Mass. – December 4, 2023 – Dean College senior AJ Weston (Kansas City, Mo.) has been named Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Men's Basketball Player of the Week.

Weston led the Bulldogs to a 3-0 week by averaging 21.7 points per game. He made 30-of-32 free throw attempts (93.8%), including several to help the team secure their victories. Weston added 7.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game. In an 80-74 road win to begin the week, Weston led Dean with 21 points and made four free throws down the stretch to ice the game. He then scored a team best 21 points in the team's 70-63 win over Eastern Connecticut. Weston scored 19 of his points in the second half to help the squad erase a 17-point deficit. The senior guard ended the week with a team-high 23 points in a thrilling 91-90 overtime GNAC opener. He made 17-of-18 free throw attempts, including 5-of-6 in overtime to help secure the win.

Weston currently leads the GNAC in scoring at 19.9 points per game. He has made 57 out of 64 free throw attempts (89.1%) this season. Weston leads all of Division III in made free throws.

The Bulldogs (5-3, 1-0 GNAC) host non-conference foe Bridgewater State on Wednesday at 5 p.m.
