Dean Wins Season Finale on Senior Day

FRANKLIN, Mass. – November 4, 2023 – The Dean College women's volleyball team split two Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) matches on the final day of the regular season. The Bulldogs fell to Lasell 3-0 (25-19, 25-13, 25-20) in the day's first match before earning a 3-1 victory over Norwich (25-18, 25-20, 18-25, 26-24).

Lasell swept Norwich 3-0 (25-11, 25-19, 25-21) in the middle match.

Prior to the first match, Dean honored senior manager Jordan Stroud and senior players Jenny Galley (Pembroke, Mass.), Hope Laiter (Riverside, R.I.), Bella Driscoll (Plymouth, Mass.) and Theresa Dean (Lunenburg, Mass.).

Dean ends its season at 9-22 overall and 4-11 in the conference. Lasell improves to 24-4 overall and 12-3 in the GNAC. Norwich falls to 5-18 overall and 4-11 GNAC play.

LASELL 3, DEAN 0 – 25-19, 25-13, 25-20

Senior Sari Albury (Nassau, Bahamas) posted eight kills on .429 and three blocks to lead Dean. Junior Janai Price (Providence, R.I.) and first-year Deanna Dice (Grants Pass, Ore.) each had five kills. Dice hit .236 and picked up two blocks, while Price added nine digs. Sophomore Skylar Raskevitz (Easthampton, Mass.) finished with eight digs, five assists and a kill.

DEAN, NORWICH – 25-18, 25-20, 18-25, 26-24

Albury led all players with 10 kills and five blocks. Driscoll ended the day with 35 assists. Galley tallied four kills, including the match-clincher. Dean contributed two kills, while Laiter recorded nine digs.
