BOSTON, Mass. – November 14, 2023 – The Dean College women's basketball team was defeated by Wentworth, 75-33, Tuesday night.   

Dean (1-2) plays a pair of games this weekend at Gordon beginning with a Friday contest against Coast Guard at 5:30 p.m. Wentworth improves to 2-1.

First-year Kendrah Doane (New Salem, Mass.) led the Bulldogs with 10 points and seven rebounds. Sophomore Carly Rettberg (Haddam, Conn.) contributed eight points and seven boards off the bench.   

Maddy Foster of Wentworth poured in 36 points on 17-of-19 shooting to lead the Leopards.  
 
1st Quarter

• Wentworth raced out to a 20-9 lead in the first frame.
• Doane had six points to pace the Bulldogs.
• Foster went 6-for-7 to score 13 points.

2nd Quarter

• The Leopards used a balanced attack in the second and shot 62.5% as a team.
• Dean had four players in the scoring column.
• Wentworth outscored Dean 22-7.

3rd Quarter

• Dean had four players score a bucket in the third.
• Foster scored 10 more points for Wentworth as the home team held a 20-8 edge in scoring in the stanza.

4th Quarter

• Rettberg scored four points to lead Dean.
• The Bulldogs held Wentworth to 25% shooting from the floor in the fourth.
