FRANKLIN, Mass. – April 28, 2022 – The Dean College softball team cruised to a 20-0 victory over Fisher in five innings on Thursday afternoon.   

Dean (6-22) hosts the University of Saint Joseph for a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) doubleheader on Saturday to complete the regular season. First pitch is scheduled for 1 p.m. Fisher (0-21) will conclude the season with a doubleheader at Rivier tomorrow beginning at 6 p.m.

Dean scored nine runs in the first, one in the second, eight in the third and two in the fourth.

First-year Shirley Chan (Kowloon, Hong Kong) and junior Alex Marie (Danvers, Mass.) each had four RBIs to lead the Bulldogs. Junior Jaylee Martinez (Pawtucket, R.I.) scored four times after reaching base with four walks. First-year Adelina Martinez (Las Cruces, N.M.) was 2-for-2 with three runs and an RBI.

Junior Zoe Coleman (Warwick, R.I.) earned the complete game shutout victory with four hits and seven strikeouts.

Four players had hits for Fisher.
