The game was tight in the opening seven minutes of the contest with Dean holding just a 1-point lead (13-12). The Bulldogs then used a 14-3 spurt, capped by a Madise jumper, to go on top by a 27-15 score with 6:19 left in the first. The Falcons clawed back to cut the deficit to one, 29-28, thanks to five points apiece from Taylor and Siayor during the rally. The Falcons finished strong to cut the deficit, but Dean's big lead was enough to secure the 76-64 victory.
