WESTON, Mass. – October 26, 2022 – The Dean College women's soccer team dropped a regular season Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) finale at Regis, 3-0, Wednesday evening.
Dean ends its season at 2-10-4 overall and 1-9-3 in conference play. Regis improves to 10-5-2 overall and earned the fifth spot in the GNAC tournament with a 9-3-1 record.
Senior Hailey Lovell (Wakefield, Mass.) put the Pride on the board in the sixth minute with the eventual game-winning goal.
Regis doubled its lead in the 40th minute when senior Maria Toumbouras (Walpole, Mass.) finished a feed from Meadow Comeiro (Woburn, Mass.) to give the home team a 2-0 lead at the half.
The Pride tacked on a third goal in the 75th minute. Toumbouras set up first-year teammate Maeve Glavin (Norwood, Mass.) for her first collegiate tally.
Sophomore
Haley Gaunt (Johnston, R.I.) made 13 saves for the Bulldogs. Daniela Mazo (Bridgeport, Conn.) earned the win with a clean first half for the Pride. Cassidy Van Cott (Santa Monica, Calif.) made one save in the second half to combine for the shutout.
