BOSTON, Mass. – September 29, 2021– Dean College junior Jazzy Sztyler-Magee (Burlington, Conn.) scored the game's lone goal in the 80^th minute to lift the women's soccer team to a 1-0 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) victory at Simmons Wednesday evening.  

Dean improves to 2-3-2 overall and 2-3 in the GNAC. The Bulldogs return home on Saturday to host Colby-Sawyer at 2:30 p.m. Simmons falls to 1-8 overall and 1-4 in the conference. The Sharks travel to Saint Joseph (Conn.) on Saturday for a 1 p.m. match.

Sztyler-Magee notched her first goal of the season at 79:09 to help the Bulldogs win their second game in a row.

Dean first-year goalie Haley Gaunt (Johnston, R.I.) recorded her second straight shutout and made four saves in the win. Simmons goalie Marita Nothacker had four saves in the loss.

Although the Sharks outshot Dean 21-8, the on target chances were 5-5. Simmons held a 5-2 edge in corner kicks.
