WEST HARTFORD, Conn. – September 18, 2021– The Dean College men's soccer team fell at the University of Saint Joseph (Conn.) in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action Saturday afternoon.

Dean drops to 2-4 overall and 1-2 in the GNAC. The team will play a pair of home games next week against Rhode Island College on Wednesday and Anna Maria on Sunday. USJ improves to 3-1-1 overall and 1-1 in conference play. The Blue Jays begin a four game road trip on Wednesday at Lasell.

Senior forward DeAnte Anderson scored all four goals for the Blue Jays with two in each half. His first tally came in the ninth minute off a feed from Juan Torres. He added a second goal six minutes later to give the home team a 2-0 lead.

Dean cut the deficit in half with less than four minutes to play in the first as sophomore Kazu Noguchi (Hyogo, Japan) notched his first collegiate goal.

Anderson added two more goals in the second half with both coming in the final 10 minutes of the match. Torres and Joel Agbetossou were credited with assists.

USJ goalie Matthew Goebel allowed one goal and made one save in the win. Dean senior goalkeeper Bryce Antoch (Cranston, R.I.) finished with six saves.

The Blue Jays held a 5-1 advantage in corner kicks.
