BABSON PARK, Mass. - Sept. 1, 2021 - The Dean College men's soccer team dropped a 2-0 season opener at Babson on a rain soaked field Wednesday afternoon. 

Dean (0-1) travels to Lesley on Saturday for a 3:30 p.m. contest with the Lynx. Babson (1-0) is back in action on Saturday at Widener.

The Beavers scored a goal in each half to secure the victory. Liam Rhatigan scored the team's first goal of the season in the 17th minute off a feed from Joseph Cardaropoli. Ryan Goss doubled the lead for the home team with a tally in 75th minute. The goal was assisted by Rhatigan. 

Five players recorded a shot for the Bulldogs. Babson held a 3-1 advantage in corner kicks. 

Dean senior goalkeeper Bryce Antoch (Cranston, R.I.) had an amazing day in net, turning away 12 shots to keep the Bulldogs in the match. Itai Rubin earned the win for the Beavers.
