FRANKLIN, Mass. – November 13, 2021 – The Dean College football team dropped a regular season finale to Alfred State, 37-15, in an Eastern Collegiate Football Conference (ECFC) contest at Lippert Field Saturday afternoon.
Dean ends its season at 2-8 overall and 1-5 in the ECFC. Alfred State goes to 6-4 overall and 5-1 in the conference standings.

Errol Breaux (Baton Rouge, La.),
Kordell Scott (Orlando, Fla.),

Gareth Chilcott (Isle of Man, UK) and
Patrick Aiken Jr. (East Boston, Mass.) were honored for their years of dedication to Dean College and the football program.
Dean quarterback
David Curry (Bethlehem, Ga.) finished 13-28 for 243 yards, two touchdowns and an interception. He added a team best 86 yards on the ground. Breaux led the pass catchers with nine receptions for 173 yards and a score. Junior
Quintus Reid (New Haven, Conn.) also hauled in nine balls for 137 yards and a touchdown. He also completed a pair of passes for 40 yards.

Desmond Dias (Rochester, Mass.) turned in an impressive performance on the defensive side of the ball with a game best 15 tackles and a pass breakup. Scott was credited with 11 tackles, a breakup and a quarterback hurry. Sophomore
Dre Kidd (Manassas, Va.) came down with a pair of interceptions to give him a team best five on the season.
Alfred State quarterback Aaron Jenkins (Canfield, Ohio) rushed 28 times for 185 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Through the air, the senior went 11-28 for 270 yards, two touchdowns and two picks. Junior Roman Napoleon (Allegany, N.Y.) recorded six receptions for 194 yards and two scores.
Freshman Joel Smith (Livonia, N.Y.) finished with 2.5 sacks for the Pioneers, while junior Anthony Allen (Staten Island, N.Y.) chipped in with an interception.
On the second play of the game, the Bulldogs hit a big play when Curry connected with Breaux for a 78-yard catch and score.
Alfred State kicker Dawson Fontaine (Bensalem, Pa.) cut the deficit in half, 6-3, with a 26-yard field goal with 3:22 on the clock in the first quarter.
The Pioneers went in front 10-6, early in the second quarter, on a 73-yard TD hookup with Napoleon.
Less than two minutes later, Dean retook the lead with an acrobatic one-handed catch by Reid in the corner of the end zone.
Neither team scored for the final 11:46 of the second frame to give Dean a 12-10 lead at the half.
Jenkins opened the scoring in the third with a two-yard burst to put Alfred State on top, 17-12.

Mason Dill (Carrollton, Ga.) 20-yard field goal for the Bulldogs made the score 17-15 with 2:08 left to play in the third.
The visitors increased their lead to 24-15 with a QB keeper from the one, 2:40 into the fourth.
On the ensuing kickoff, Alfred State recovered a successful onside kick to keep up the momentum. The Pioneers turned the opportunity into six points with a 28-yard TD catch by Napoleon.
Alfred State tacked on another seven with 2:20 left to play on a 9-yard scamper by freshman Dylan Banks (Baldwinsville, N.Y.).
