NEW LONDON, Conn. - November 10, 2021 - The Dean College women's basketball team suffered a 76-36 setback on the road at Mitchell Wednesday evening.
Dean goes to 1-1 on the season and will stay on the road to play at Fisher on Saturday at 1 p.m. Mitchell improves to 2-0 and travel to UMass Boston on Saturday.

Shania Springer (Bayshore, N.Y.) led all players with 18 points. She went 9-11 from the free throw line. Junior
Alexah Potter (East Hartford, Conn.) grabbed a game best 12 rebounds.
The Mariners received 14 points apiece from Yasmine Santos, Amina Wiley and Alexia Watson. Wiley added a team-high seven rebounds.
The Bulldogs jumped out to a 7-0 lead, capped by a
Tori Viau (Johnston, R.I.) trey, but Mitchell battled back and eventually took a 13-12 lead after 10 minutes.
The home team took control of the contest with a 21-7 margin on the scoreboard in the second quarter to lead 34-19 at the half.
Mitchell outscored Dean 25-10 in the third and 17-7 in the fourth to take the 76-36 victory.
The Mariners won the rebounding battle 49-41 and held Dean to 23.4% from the floor.
