STANDISH, Maine - October 26, 2021 - The Dean College men's soccer team concluded the 2021 season on Tuesday evening at Saint Joseph's College. The Monks protected home field with a 5-0 victory in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) finale for both teams.
Tonight's game was the first between the two programs.
Saint Joseph's sits atop the GNAC standings with a perfect 12-0-0 record and is 13-1-2 overall. Dean ends its season at 3-13 overall and 2-10 in its first season with the GNAC.
Graduate student Colin Grant (Harvard, Mass.) scored three goals and assisted on another for the Monks.
SJC scored twice in the first half, 54 seconds in and in the 33rd minute.
The home team added three scores in the second frame with goals in the 48th minute, the 70th minute and the 78th minute to cap off the 5-0 victory.
David Walbridge (Hampden, Mass.) played the first 60 minutes, while freshman Liam Foley (Middleton, Mass.) made one save in the final 30 minutes to combine for the clean sheet for the Monks.
