FRANKLIN, Mass. – October 23, 2021 – The Dean College women's soccer team was edged by Elms, 1-0, in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) match Saturday afternoon.

Dean goes to 3-8-3 overall and 3-8-1 in the GNAC. The Bulldogs will conclude the regular season on Wednesday with a 3 p.m. home game against the University of Saint Joseph. Elms improves to 9-6-2 overall and 7-4-1 in conference play. The Blazers play a regular season finale at Colby-Sawyer tomorrow at 2 p.m.

Prior to today's game, seniors Alexis Ford (Claremont, N.H.), Mikayla Godding (Stoneham, Mass.), Jennifer Jacovino (Monroe, Conn.), Miranda Seacord (Cambridge, N.Y.), Shania Springer (Bayshore, N.Y.) and team manager Brianna Snyder were honored for their years of dedication to Dean College and the women's soccer program.

After a scoreless first half, the Blazers scored the game's lone goal 37 seconds into the second frame. First-year Kelly Malheiro (Centereach, N.Y.) dribbled down the right flank and found senior Morgan Foucault (Putnam, Conn.) at the top of the 6-yard box. From the right side, Foucault snuck the ball into the upper right corner of the net for the game-winner and her fifth goal of the season.
