FRANKLIN, Mass. – October 20, 2021– The Dean College field hockey team dropped a tough 4-0 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) decision to Regis College Wednesday afternoon at Grant Field.
Dean drops to 1-12 overall and 1-8 in the GNAC. The Bulldogs travel to Rivier on Saturday for a 4 p.m. start against the Raiders. Regis goes to 2-9 overall and 2-7 in conference play. The Pride will conclude their three-game road trip on Saturday with a noon start at Albertus Magnus.
Regis scored a goal in each of the four quarters.
The Pride opened the scoring 3:25 into the first when sophomore Ashley Monteiro (Atkinson, N.H.) took a shot near the top of the circle that was redirected into the back of the cage by first-year Isabella Celli (Pembroke, Mass.).
In the second, first-year Frankie Alley (Gardner, Mass.) doubled the Pride lead with her team leading third goal of the season.
Regis added a goal in the third off the stick of sophomore Olivia Bell (Mechanic Falls, Maine) and one in the fourth from sophomore Sarah Juskiewicz (Gorham, Maine).

Gabbie Taynor (Newburyport, Mass.) got the start and made five saves. Junior
Zoe Coleman (Warwick, R.I.) recorded her team leading fifth defensive save of the season. Sophomore Jocelyn White (Wilmington, Mass.) stopped one shot to earn the shutout for Regis.
