Elizabeth McGowan (Warwick, R.I.) scored a goal and assisted on another to lift the women's soccer team to a 2-1 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) victory over Colby-Sawyer.
Dean has won three in a row to improve to 3-3-2 overall and 3-3 in conference action. The Bulldogs will look to continue the streak on Tuesday when they travel to Johnson & Wales for a 7 p.m. contest with the Wildcats. Colby-Sawyer falls to 2-5 overall and 2-3 in the GNAC. The Chargers return to Kelsey Field on Wednesday to host Norwich at 3 p.m.

Miranda Seacord (Cambridge, N.Y.) was taken down during a scoring chance. McGowan stepped to the spot and converted the PK to give the Bulldogs a 1-0 lead.
Colby-Sawyer answered two minutes later with an equalizer off the foot of sophomore Kara Keiper (Peterborough, N.H.). She traveled into the 18-yard box and navigated through a couple of Dean defenders to score her first goal of the season.
In the 9
th minute of the first half, McGowan sent a bounding ball past the Colby-Sawyer defenders that found junior
Jazzy Sztyler-Magee (Burlington, Conn.). She created separation from the back line and was able to beat the goalie with her second goal of the season.
Neither team was able to find the back of the net in the second half to end the game with the same halftime score of 2-1.

Haley Gaunt (Johnston, R.I.) finished with six saves to earn the win in net for the Bulldogs. Colby-Sawyer junior goalie Alexis LeBreton (Bangor, Maine) allowed two goals in the loss.
Dean had a 4-2 edge in corner kicks, while Colby-Sawyer held a 21-12 advantage in total shots.
