FRAMINGHAM, Mass. - October 18, 2021 - The Dean College women's volleyball team was defeated by Framingham State, 3-0, in a non-conference match Monday evening. The Rams won by scores of 25-22, 25-12 and 25-6.
Dean (4-16) resumes Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) play on Wednesday at Emmanuel. Framingham improves to 11-13 and will host Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) foe Bridgewater State on Wednesday at 7:15 p.m.
The Bulldogs received five kills from
Janai Price (Providence, R.I.) and
Sari Albury (Nassau, Bahamas). Albury added a match-high three blocks. First-year
Lena Muraski (Manchester, Conn.) tallied 12 assists and five digs. Sophomore
Jenny Galley (Pembroke, Mass.) led the team with seven digs.Â
Valerie Sullivan paced the Rams on the attack with 15 kills, while Anna Szymanski registered 13 kills, two aces and 10 digs. Emily Flaherty chipped in with five digs and led the Rams from the service line with five aces, while Brandee Thomas finished the match with eight kills and three aces. Isabel Henwood led the back row with a team-best 12 digs on the night.Â
