THE LEAD:
Miranda Seacord (Cambridge, N.Y.) scored a pair of goals late in the second half to catapult Dean College to a crucial 2-0 win over Eastern Nazarene in New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) women's soccer action on Wednesday afternoon.

The win for the Bulldogs not only snaps their four-game losing streak but gives them the inside track on a conference tournament berth with three regular season games left to play – two of which are at home.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
The contest was scoreless deep into the second half when Dean finally broke through courtesy of an excellent pass from Jasmine Sztyler-Magee (Burlington, Conn.) that found Seacord, who delivered her sixth goal of the season at 65:15.

Things stayed that way until very late in the contest as Molly Rockett (Roslindale, Mass.) connected with Seacord for one of her well-known breakaways that found the back of the net with less than a minute remaining.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
Macy Parisee (East Freetown, Mass.) made the two goals stand up as turned aside seven shots for the second shutout of the season.

Dean returns to action on Saturday when they play host to New England College at noon on Senior Day.
