THE LEAD:
Dean College scored a pair of late second half goals and had the potential game-tying goal disallowed in the 89th minute and visiting Bay Path University escaped with a 3-2 win over the Bulldogs in New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) women's soccer action on Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
The Wildcats jumped on the board in the 26th minute when Alexandra Silva found the back of the net at 25:58.

Bay Path doubled their lead when Carina Facchini recorded her third goal of the season at 34:55.

Early in the second half, Bay Path added to their advantage when Joanna Feliciano made the game 3-0 a little more than ten minutes into the second stanza.

Dean started their comeback when sophomore Mikayla Godding (Stoneham, Mass.) connected with junior Mackenzie Parisse (East Freetown, Mass.) for the Bulldogs' first score at 78:40.

The hosts were back on the scoreboard less than three minutes later when Jasmine Sztyler-Magee (Burlington, Conn.) registered her fourth goal of the season in the 82nd minute.

It looked as if Sztyler-Magee tied the game at 89:02 but the goal was disallowed after an offsides call.

Dean netminder Macy Parisee (East Freetown, Mass.) totaled 13 saves in net for the hosts, while her counterpart, Caitlyn Esposito turned aside five to collect the win.

UP NEXT:
The Bulldogs are back in action on Wednesday when they visit NECC rival Eastern Nazarene.
