THE LEAD:
Miranda Seacord (Cambridge, N.Y.) and Ali Nelson (Candia, N.H.) each continued their offensive surge this week by scoring goals in leading Dean College to a 2-0 shutout win over Mitchell College in New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) women's soccer action on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Seacord, who scored three goals in Thursday's win over Pine Manor, got the Bulldogs on the board early in this contest when she took a feed from Allison Buckley (Guilford, Vt.) and deposited her team-leading sixth goal of the season just 11:45 into the game.

Things stayed that way until Nelson – coming off of a two-goal performance – added an insurance tally when she banged home a rebound off of a shot that hit the crossbar at 50:36.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
Dean held a 16-8 advantage in shots, and Jennifer Jacovino (Monroe, Conn.), making her first career start, made two saves to earn the shutout.
