WINTHROP, Mass. – The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) has announced that the Dean College men's golf team has been selected to finish in fifth place in this year's pre-championship poll, as voted by the conference's head coach.
The Bulldogs collected 45 total votes, finishing in a tie for fifth with Saint Joseph's College of Maine. This is also the highest the Bulldogs have been tabbed since 2023.
It's been a historic regular season thus far for men's golf. They are currently on their best regular season run since joining the NCAA, finishing in first place in two matches while earning fifth place or better in every match played.
In addition, two players earned medalist honors in two different matches. First-year
Anthony Cermele (Eastchester, N.Y.) set a new program record during their match against Lasell University, while
Troy Evans (Valrico, Fla.) took first place at the second Mitchell College invite.
Dean looks to improve on their success in the GNAC Championships from last year. In 2025, the team finished in sixth place, with both Evans and
Case LaChance (Latham, N.Y.) finishing in the top 20 players.
