WESTFIELD, Mass.- October 7, 2023 - The Dean College women's cross country team competed on Saturday at the James Earley Invitational at Stanley Park in Westfield, Mass.

Dean finished 25th against a competitive field that was led by Smith College. The Bulldogs had five runners go the distance, with all placing between 174th and 184th. 

Pacing the Bulldogs, Kokoro Okada (Taki, Japan) finished 174th with a time of 36:44:13.
The next finisher, Tanya Spengler (Vienna, Va.) crossed the line in 178th at 41:18:73.
Next, Emma Cotsonas (Jamestown, R.I.) placed 179th at 41:20:73.
Dean's fourth runner, Helen Sanford, (Deerfield, Mass.) registered a time of 46:23:24, good for 183rd.
Rounding out the squad, Violet Smith (Madison, N.J.) finished 184th with a time of 48:44:07.

Dean is back in action next Saturday at 1:30 p.m. for the Suffolk Invitational in Boston, Mass. at Franklin Park.
