Women's Volleyball Stumbles In Season Finale At Elms, 3-0

THE LEAD:
Natalia Caraballo led all players with 11 kills and host Elms College used .299 overall hitting to post a 3-0 win over Dean College in New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) women's volleyball action on Wednesday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
The Blazers came out on fire, hammering down 15 kills in the first frame behind .519 hitting on their way to a 25-13 win.

Elms went on to take the second set 25-14 and then fought hard to sweep the final game, 25-19.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
Kait Anderson (Clinton, Conn.) ended with nine kills and seven digs for the Bulldogs, while Miranda Marquez (San Pedro, Calif.) added seven and six digs of her own.

Melanie Rios-Nevarez (Vega Alta, Puerto Rico) totaled 16 assists, nine digs and two service aces.

UP NEXT:
The Bulldogs have already secured a spot in the upcoming postseason tournament which begins next Tuesday. Tournament pairings will be announced on Saturday following the final regular season games of the conference schedule.
