THE LEAD:
The Dean College offense exploded, scoring seven goals – three coming from freshman Miranda Seacord (Cambridge, N.Y.) – and the host Bulldogs posted an impressive 7-1 win over Pine Manor in non-league women's soccer action on Thursday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Things got going relatively quickly for Dean as Mackenzie Parisee (East Freetown, Mass.) setup Allison Buckley (Guilford, Vt.) for her third goal of the season just 7:51 into the contest.

Seacord doubled the Bulldog advantage less than six minutes later when she found the back of the net and then Parisee connected with Megan Moore (Clifton Park, N.Y.) for her first marker of the year and suddenly Dean was in front 3-0 at the 27:16 mark.

The offensive onslaught continued for the Bulldogs as Seacord completed the hat trick with two more unassisted strikes (39:38, 42:22) and then Alison Nelson (Candia, N.H.) got in on the act before the half ended.

Nelson then scored again in the 70th minute, giving Dean a 7-0 edge but the Gators did get on the board at 84:26 when Chiara Celis converted a penalty kick.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
Parisee tallied two assists for Dean, who had a sizable 25-7 edge in shots. Macy Parisee (East Freetown, Mass.) needed to only make five saves to secure the victory in goal for the Bulldogs.

UP NEXT:
Dean is back in action on Saturday when they travel to NECC rival Mitchell College for a 2:00 p.m. start.
