THE LEAD:
Becker College wrapped up the top spot in the upcoming league tournament by ending their regular season with a convincing 24-2 win over Dean College in New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) women's lacrosse action on Thursday afternoon.

Clare Conway was the star of the day for the Hawks, finishing with seven goals and three assists, while teammate Cassandra Nelson added four goals and three assists.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Becker raced out to a 10-0 edge in the first half when finally, the Bulldogs got on the board courtesy of free position strike from Lauryn Wilks (Hartford, Conn.).

The Hawks then went on to score eight straight goals spanning the first and second halves, until Makayla Fisher (Irvington, N.J.) teamed up with Nicole Romero (Winchendon, Mass.) for a Bulldog score with just under 14 minutes left to play.

Becker then closed out the game with six straight goals from five different student-athletes on their way to their ninth straight victory.

UP NEXT:
Dean closes out its regular season on Saturday with a NECC matchup against Bay Path. Game time is slated for 11:00 AM.
