THE LEAD:
In their first New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) action of the season, the Dean College Bulldogs controlled play from the start, cruising to an 80-28 victory over visiting Bay Path University in Franklin, Mass. on Saturday. 

HOW IT HAPPENED:
The Bulldogs opened the game by scoring the first 12 points, grabbing a stranglehold on the contest right away.  

After the Bulldogs extended their lead to 23-8, Bay Path scored the final five points of the quarter to close to 23-13 at the break. 

Dean controlled the second quarter, extending their lead to 20 on a pair of free throws from Taisha Alexandre (Quincy, Mass.) with a minute to play before halftime.

The Bulldogs opened the third quarter in the same fashion as the first, scoring 12 straight points to put the game out of reach.  Dean led 51-21 midway through the third and never looked back, coasting to an 80-28 victory. 

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
Four Bulldogs reached double figures, with Sadie Homer (North Easton, Mass.) leading the way with 12 points.  Nathalia Minchala (East Patchogue, N.Y.) and  Mackenzie Silveira (Middletown, R.I.) added ten points and Alexis Ford (Claremont, N.H.) scored 11 off the bench.
