The Bulldogs fell behind 22-15 after the first period and trailed by the same seven point margin at the half (38-31).  Dean dominated the third quarter, guided by seven points from senior Jamaya Cleveland (Greensboro, Ga.), outscoring the Lions 22-13 to take a 53-51 lead into the fourth and final frame.

After trading baskets early in the period, layups from Iindia Pina (Carver, Mass.), Nicole Romero (Winchendon, Mass.) and Rudder extended the Bulldog lead to 63-58 with just over five minutes remaining.

A three pointer from Emerson's Ashley Toner tied the game at 65 with three and a half minutes remaining and shorly after Toner drilled another three to give the hosts a 72-69 lead with 28 seconds remaining.

A jumper from Taisha Alexandre (Quincy, Mass.) closed the gap to 72-71, but two free throws from Emerson in the closing seconds sealed the game for the Lions.

Rudder led the Bulldogs with 21 points on 9-15 shooting while also adding eight rebounds.  Romero added 14 points, four rebounds and four assists while Pina and Cleveland both chipped in 12 points. Pina and Cleveland also both contributed four steals. Alexandre pitched in five points in 19 minutes off the bench.
