THE LEAD:
The Dean College Bulldogs dropped the third match of this weekend's JWU Invitational, falling 3-0 to Regis College at the Wildcat Center in Providence, R.I. on Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Regis controlled the first set, jumping out to a 10-4 lead and cruising the rest of the way to win 25-16.

Dean battled early in the second set, knotting the score at two before the Pride pulled away, scoring five straight points to take a 14-5 lead.  The Pride held on for a 25-10 set two win.

Dean took a 6-3 lead in set three and looked to wrestle early momentum.  Regis rallied to tie the game at seven before ripping off eight straight points to take over the set.  After a three point flurry from the Bulldogs narrowed the gap to 19-14, Regis responded to close out the game and the match 25-16.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

John Kauffman (East Providence, R.I.) led the Cardinal and White with five kills while also adding five digs.  Aaron River (Punta Gorde, Fla.) led the way with seven kills while Chad Pelletier (Westbrook, Maine) added five assists and two digs.
