THE LEAD:
Elms College hit .750 in the opening set and the visiting Blazers never looked back in a 3-0 (25-10, 25-13, 25-10) win over Dean College in New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) men's volleyball action on Tuesday evening.

The victory for Elms is their fourth win in their last five matches, while the Bulldogs have now dropped three straight.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
The Blazers opened the match on fire, recording nine kills without an error on their way to a 25-10 victory in the first frame.

In the second set, Elms pulled away in the middle portion of the set, turning a small 9-5 advantage into a 20-9 bulge enroute to a 25-13 triumph.

Things were very similar in the third set, as the Blazers raced out to a 12-3 advantage on their way to a 25-10 match sealing win.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
Diondre Gomes
(Fairhaven, Mass.) had six of the Bulldogs' 15 total kills, while three each came from Joel Carmona (Lawrence, Mass.) and Dean Bennett (Bloomfield, N.J.).

Martin Acevedo led Elms with seven kills on .750 hitting, while Jeremy Torres adding six of his own.

UP NEXT:
The busy week for the Bulldogs continues with another NECC showdown on Thursday against defending league champion, Endicott who currently sit at 11-1.
