THE LEAD:
Sasha Simine racked up a match-best ten kills on a sizzling .500 hitting and visiting Mount Holyoke College snapped Dean College's four match winning streak with a 3-0 win in non-league women's volleyball action on Wednesday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
The first set proved to be the most competitive, with the Lyons eventually taking a 25-19 decision. From that point on, things got easier for the visitors as the captured the second set, 25-13 before sweeping the match with a 25-9 triumph in the third frame.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
In addition to Simine, Sarah Bishop and Marianne Simon each ended with eight kills while Brayden Walden and Alexandra Keough combined for 30 assists.

For the Bulldogs, Melanie Rios-Nevarez (Vega Alta, Puerto Rico) finished with a team-best eight kills, while Miranda Marquez (San Pedro, Calif.) and Kait Anderson (Clinton, Conn.) both registered for apiece.
