Marshfield, Mass. – For the second time in as many seasons, Dean College junior sensation Kait Anderson (Clinton, Conn.) has been named to the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) women's volleyball all-conference team it was announced on Monday evening by the league office.
Anderson, a first-team selection in 2017, grabs third-team honors in 2018 after a season in which she missed six matches due to injury but returned in time to help the Bulldogs earn the program's first-ever playoff appearance.
Overall, she appeared in 20 matches for Dean, averaging 2.32 kills and 2.30 digs per set.
She had six matches this season with double figure kills, including a season-best 18 in a thrilling 3-2 win over Albertus Magnus and also collected a double-double in the regular season finale at Newbury (15 kills, 11 digs).
Anderson and Dean return to action on Tuesday evening after securing the No. 7 seed in the NECC Tournament. They travel to face second-seeded Elms College at 7:00 p.m.
