THE LEAD:
Massachusetts Maritime Academy opened up a 13-0 halftime lead on their way to a 17-1 triumph over Dean College in non-league women's lacrosse action on Tuesday evening.

Anna Deely totaled a game-high four goals for the Buccaneers, who also got two goals and five assists from Stephanie Hunt.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Massachusetts Maritime wasted little time getting their offense going as they pumped in six goals in the game's first ten minutes – three of which came off of the stick of Casey Sullivan.

Over the final 20 minutes of the half, the Buccaneers had five different players account for seven goals, including two from Deely.

Dean finally got on the board when Shania Springer (Bayshore, N.Y.) connected with Makayla Fisher (Irvington, N.J.) for her eighth marker of the season early in the second half.

The Buccaneers scored four goals in the second half as they kept the Bulldogs off the board and snapped a three-game losing streak to return to .500.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
Jamaya Cleveland (Greensboro, Ga.) was peppered with 36 shots and stood tall, making nine saves in net for Dean.

UP NEXT:
The Bulldogs are back in action on Saturday when they return to conference action with a home contest against Southern Vermont at 1:00 p.m.
