Ariel Gaston joined the women’s basketball program in September of 2018 as an assistant on head coach Alycia Gervais staff. She also served as Gervais’ assistant during the cross country season in the fall of 2018.
Gaston will participate in all facets of the program, including recruiting, practice preparation and student-athlete development.
A former four-year student-athlete at Division I University of New Hampshire, Gaston appeared in 118 games in her collegiate career, making 81 starts.
The two-time team captain, Gaston was named a third-team all-league performer and to the conference’s all-defensive team after starting all 27 games and averaging 9.9 points, 5.3 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game as the Wildcats went 17-12 in the 2014-15 season.
Over her career, she was named America East Player of the Week five times and was a four-year member of the University’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).
A Dean’s List honoree during her undergraduate days, Gaston graduate with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a minor in sports studies in 2015.
She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in sport leadership from Northeastern University in Boston.
