FRANKLIN, Mass.- Fataya Larry's 18 points and 12 rebounds led the way for the Bulldogs, as they jumped all over Lesley University early on Saturday and cruised to a 77-46 victory. Dean scored the first 6 points of the game and raced to a 23-7 lead at the end of the first quarter.
Aggressive team defense led to takeaways and fast break points for the Bulldogs. Iindia Pina scored 16 points and added 6 steals and 7 rebounds, many of her early points coming in transition off of Lesley turnovers. Denisha Gardener was impressive as well, scoring 12 points and adding 13 rebounds. Chelsea Johnson also scored 14 points.
Kylie Lounder led the Lynx with 17 points on 7-17 shooting. Linda Wallentine scored 10 points and dished out 5 assists while playing 36 minutes.
The Bulldogs shot 55% from the field in the first quarter and 42.5% for the game. They outrebounded Lesley 52-31 and had a 40-10 advantage on points in the paint.
The win brings Dean to 10-4 on the year and has them entering their winter break on a high note. Their next contest is not until January 12th when they face Central Maine CC at home.
