Men's Volleyball Splits Doubleheader with Pratt and Sarah Lawrence

Pratt registered a 3-0 win over Dean College (25-17, 25-14, 25-21) to sweep the tri-match with Sarah Lawrence.  

Dean Liaw led the Cannoneers with eight kills, and Kris Patton added nine digs. David Cutler recorded 13 assists and set another career-high, this time serving 11 aces, as Pratt moved to 2-0 on the season.

Pratt's dominant hitting percentage continued in the second game, as the team registered a .316 in the first set. The team cooled off for the rest of the game, yet still managed to out-hit the Bulldogs .178 to .141 over the three sets.

Moussa Seck led Dean College with nine kills while finishing with two blocks. Gabriel McClain added 15 assists and Pepe Vieira finished with a team-high 8 digs.

Pratt returns to action next Saturday as the travel to Newton, MA, for a doubleheader, playing Dean College at 12:00 pm and host Mount Ida College at 2:00 pm. 

Dean won the second match against Sarah Lawrence in 5 sets (23-25, 25-19, 25-27, 25-14, 15-7).  The win was their second in program history and improved the Bulldogs to 2-4 on the year.  


After losing the first set by just two points, the Bulldogs bounced back to win 2 of the next three and force a 5th set.  The Bulldogs controlled the final frame, winning 15-7 to take home the victory.

Seck led Dean again with kills, registering 23 in the match.  Dean Bennett added 8 and Gabriel McClain had 6.

McClain also had 28 assists and 18 digs, both of which led the Bulldogs.

Next up for Dean, they will host Newbury College on Wednesday at 7 PM.
