THE LEAD:
Framingham State scored three unanswered goals in the second half and the host Rams avenged a heartbreaking loss to Dean a season ago by knocking off the Bulldogs, 4-1, in non-league men's soccer action on Wednesday.

In last year's meeting in Franklin, Davonn Smith (Lowell, Mass.) scored the game-winning goal in the 89th minute to secure the win for the Cardinal and White.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
The Rams jumped out on the board first when Isaac DeSouza found the back of the net in the 31st minute.

Dean evened the score a few minutes later when Luke Palmer (Windsor Locks, Conn.) fired a shot from about 25 yards out and the rebound from the Rams' keeper bounced right to a waiting Paulo Correia (Brockton, Mass.), who delivered his ninth goal of the season at 36:07.

The contest stayed that way until the 72 nd minute when Bryce Nardizzi scored the first of his two goals on the afternoon in a 13 minute span that put the game away. In between Nardizzi's two strikes, Gustavo Cassemiro delivered his team-leading seventh marker of the season.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
Bryce Antoch (Cranston, R.I.) turned aside a career-best 16 shots in goal for the Bulldogs.

UP NEXT:
The Bulldogs are back in action on Saturday when they host Maine Farmington on Saturday at 2:30 PM.
