THE LEAD:
Alfred Komora
headed home a ball into back of the net with less than four minutes left in the first overtime and visiting Worcester State rallied for a hard-fought 2-1 win over Dean College in non-league men's soccer action on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
The Bulldogs actually went into halftime in front 1-0 after the red-hot Paulo Correia (Brockton, Mass.) converted a penalty kick at 42:00 to break a scoreless tie and give him his seventh goal of the season and his sixth since Sunday.

Things stayed that way until the Lancers were awarded a penalty kick of their own and Lincoln Henry beat Dean goalkeeper Bryce Antoch (Cranston, R.I.) to even the score at 68:17.

Antoch, who was spectacular all afternoon, turned aside the possible game-winning goal when he smothered the shot by Hamza Shakir near the top of the box. A rebound did come off and Shakir was able to corral it, but his shot clanked off the corner of the post at 89:34.

Worcester State had all three of the shots in the extra session, including Komora's second marker of the season at 96:35

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
Antoch finished with a career-best 13 saves in goal for the Bulldogs.

UP NEXT:
The Bulldogs are back in action on Wednesday when they visit Rhode Island College at 4:00 PM in showdown with the Anchormen.
