FRANKLIN, Mass. – Four weeks from their first contest of the season, Dean College head men's soccer coach, Joe Campbell announced the program's 2019 schedule on Friday.
The Bulldogs will play an extremely competitive 16-game slate with nine of those contests coming at home beginning with the season-opening matchup against Rivier University on Friday, August 30. In fact, three of Dean's first five games are at home, including a matchup with Curry College on Saturday, September 7 on Grant Field and a showdown with Worcester State on September 14.
Squeezed in around those two Saturday home games are Wednesday road trips to Albertus Magnus (September 4), Lyndon State (September 11) and Rhode Island College (September 18).
Three straight homes games against Regis College (September 25), Lesley University (September 28) and Pine Manor (October 2) carry the season into October and are followed by back-to-back road games at Becker College (October 6) and Framingham State (October 9).
Dean will then close out the regular season with four of the final games at home beginning with a visit from Maine-Farmington on October 12. Their final road contest takes place on October 16 as they visit Eastern Nazarene before hosting New England College (October 19), Elms College (October 23) and Mitchell College (October 30).
The Bulldogs, who closed out Campbell's first season with three wins in their final four games, return a wealth of talent in 2019 including New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) all-stars Davonn Smith (Lawrence, Mass.) and Paulo Correia (Brockton, Mass.).
