Men's Soccer Trio Named All-Conference

Marshfield, Mass. – A trio of Dean College men's soccer student-athletes have been named to the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) All-Conference Team it was announced by the league office on Tuesday afternoon.

Felipe Campos (Barnstable, Mass.), earned first-team all-league honors, while freshmen Paulo Corriea (Brockton, Mass.) and Davonn Smith (Lawrence, Mass.) each collected second-team accolades.

The 2017 league rookie of the year, Campos was spectacular for the Bulldogs, finishing tied for the league lead in goals scored (9) and ending as the conference leader in points (24).

Incredibly, Campos scored at least one goal in each of his final five games and at one point scored five straight Dean goals over a four-game span when he was named the league's player of the week.

In 37 career contests in his two seasons in a Bulldog uniform, Campos has scored 32 goals and has 76 career points.

Corriea wasted little time getting his name known as he finished with goal and an assist in his first collegiate contest. His offensive exploits continued with goal in his second contest as he finished his inaugural campaign with three goals and four assists.

Smith, meanwhile, finished the season with 15 points (six goals, three assists) in 15 games. He scored goals in five separate contests, including a goal and two assists in a loss to Berkeley College and then followed that up with two goals – along with the game-winning strike in the 89th minute in a thrilling win over Framingham State.
