THE LEAD:
Freshman striker Zeki Zai (Cleveland, Ohio) scored two goals to lead Dean College to a hard fought 3-2 win over Elms College in New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) men's soccer action on Friday afternoon.

The win for the Bulldogs puts a cap on the four-year stretch for seniors Danny Isaksen (Cambridge, England) and captain Brendan Pacheco (Fall River, Mass.), who went to two USCAA National Tournaments and won more than 50 games in their careers.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Zai put the hosts on the board in the 18th minute when Isaksen fed a pass to Zai who beat a defender and delivered his second score of the season.

That lead doubled when Felipe Campos (Barnstable, Mass.) dished out his sixth assist of the season to Zai at 27:35.

Elms was able to slice the lead in half when the Bulldogs had some miscommunication on the defensive end which led to an uncontested score from Kavan Henry in the 39th minute.

Things stayed that way until Campos recorded his team-leading ninth goal of the season with help from Kyle Lameiras (Attleboro, Mass.) at 81:09.

Elms answered quickly when Anthony Romei sent a corner kick into the box that Michael Lemke headed home his first of the season in the 85th minute.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
Elms held a slight 18-17 advantage in shots as well as an 8-6 edge in corner kicks.
