Men's Soccer Edged By Lynx In Crucial NECC Meeting, 2-1

THE LEAD:
Liam Perrine
scored his second goal of the game in the 77th minute and that proved to be the difference as host Lesley University came away with a crucial 2-1 win over Dean College in New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) men's soccer action on Wednesday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Perrine recorded his fourth goal of the season in the first half when he banged home a rebound off of Dean keeper Devin Moore (Walpole, Mass.) at 35:13.

The Bulldogs did answer back and even the score when Felipe Campos (Barnstable, Mass.) notched his fifth goal in his last four games early in the second half at 57:48.

In the end, however, Perrine proved to be the difference, when he banged home the game winning goal after a ball deflected off of a defender at 76:24.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
The Bulldogs held a 12-5 edge in shots and a slight advantage in corner kicks, 2-1.

UP NEXT:
Dean wraps up its regular season on Friday with a visit from Elms College. That match was moved up a day due to the impending weekend weather.
