Four different student-athletes accounted for Dean's season-best eight goals and the host Bulldogs scored four goals in each half on their way to a convincing 8-1 win over Wheelock College in NECC men's soccer action on Tuesday.

Felipe Campos
(Barnstable, Mass.) scored three goals for the Cardinal and White – his second straight multi goal contest.

Meanwhile, Pepe Vieira (Brockton, Mass.) added a goal and and two assists to push his league-leading assist total to eight.

Joining those two in the scoring column with goals were Sam Fonseca (Fogo, Cape Verde), who added two, Nathan Estrela (Falmouth, Mass.) added two more and Santiago Cardona (Revere, Mass.) chipped in one of his own.

The Bulldogs outshot the Wildcats 54-4 and were ahead 4-0 in the game's first 24 minutes after Campos opened the scoring with a pair of goals in the first 15 minutes and then Vieira and Fonseca added one each.

Wheelock did get on the board when Edwin Hernandez teamed up with Patrick Gomes to send the game into intermission at 4-1.

Dean then put four goals on the board in the final 45 minutes, highlighted by Vieira connecting with Campos for his first career hat trick in the 78th minute.

Nathan Silveira (East Providence, R.I.) needed to make just three saves to secure the victory for the Cardinal and White, while Jordan Berard was peppered with shots all afternoon and racked up 21 stops.

Dean has now won four straight, are now 5-0-1 at home and have outscored their opponents 24-3 at home this season.

The Bulldogs are back in action on Saturday when they play host to NECC rival Mitchell College. First touch is slated for 1:00 p.m.
